These terms govern your use of Open Character AI, operated by BookAI Studio, a DBA of BrightSpan Holdings LLC ("we", "us"). By using the service you agree to these terms.

The service

The service lets you chat with AI personas — pre-defined characters and personas you create yourself. Personas are fictional AI simulations, not real people, and their replies are generated content that may be inaccurate or unexpected. The service is for adults; do not use it if you are under 18.

Your content

You keep ownership of personas and prompts you create, subject to these terms. Do not create personas that impersonate real people without consent, and do not use the service for unlawful, harassing or exploitative content.

Credits and payment

Chat features consume credits sold in packs on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe. Except where required by law, used credits are not refundable; unused pack credits remain on your account while it is active.

Availability and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
